The Position

A financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and guiding businesses or individuals in order to assist them in making good investment decisions. In order to do this, the financial analyst must gather financial information, analyze the information, and use that information to provide clients with recommendations. A financial analyst must also assess the performance of industries, companies, and firms in order to determine which ones would be good for investing in. The financial analyst must read the financial statements of the company as well as the company’s expenses, sales, and costs in order to predict the future earnings of the company. In order to make an effective prediction, the financial analyst must also study the industry within which the company belongs in order to assess trends in the products and practices.

To Qualify

Applicants must be a permanent full-time and possess:

Must have bachelor degree in Finance area
Knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of budget development and management.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of sound business communication.
Knowledge of the uses and operations of computers and standard business software.
Ability to analyze financial, budgetary, operational and organizational problems, evaluate alternatives and reach sound, logical, fact-based conclusions and recommendations.
Ability to prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports, correspondence and other documents involving technical, budgetary and financial data in a manner appropriate to the audience.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and staff, staff of other businesses, representatives of other agencies, public and others.

Language proficiency

Fluency in English required, must be able to write clearly.
Fluency in Mongolian highly desirable.

The Recruitment Process

An evaluation of each applicant’s training and experience, as demonstrated in their cover letter and resume, weighted at 100%. Only the most qualified applicants passing the cover letter and resume evaluation will be placed on an equally ranked eligible list. Additional evaluation may be required prior to final selection.
